Owego Riverwalk
Hal Boyle once said, “What makes a river so restful to people is that it doesn't have any doubt - it is sure to get where it is going, and it doesn't want to go anywhere else.”
The Riverwalk, a paved trail connecting Draper and Ahwaga Parks in Owego’s historic downtown, gives its visitors a chance to discover facts about river ecology, marvel at the Susquehanna River Bridge, as you cross under the massive girders, or just enjoy the river as it drifts by. What are the challenges and the rewards of life on the river? How do we interact with such a powerful natural feature so that we remain protected but also minimize our impact on natural systems?
