Rakow Research Library
An extension of the Corning Museum of Glass the Rakow houses the world's most comprehensive collection of materials on the art and history of glass and glass making. Open to the public with no need for appointments the Rakow also presents exhibitions featuring items from its collection. A unique asset for our region, here you can seek answers to your questions from ancient to modern aspects of glass. Glass, a material with properties of both a liquid and a solid, that manages to be one of the most ubiquitous and yet elusive substances we know.
