The Brick Tavern Museum

Imagine driving this route 185 years ago…. You wouldn’t be in a car. You would be driving or riding in a stagecoach and probably all the dust from the road would be making you thirsty. Luckily, what is now the Schuyler County Historical Society was once the site of a tavern where stagecoach travelers could stop for some refreshment, water their horses or even take lodging for the evening. Built in 1828, the Brick Tavern Museum is the oldest brick structure in Schuyler County.
