Lee School House
In 1884 the typical school day, especially in rural communities such as Montour Falls, was very different than we are used to today. For a first-hand look at these differences visit the Lee School House where you can see many of the original fixtures of this 1884 building. From the blackboard to the teacher’s and students’ desks to the cast-iron stove much of the school house boasts original artifacts that were prominent in the daily routines of the children who attended school here in the 1880s. The Lee School House was used as the Montour District #1 school until 1937.
